Puppy Socialisation Classes in North Brisbane
Puppy socialisation is one of the most important foundations you can give a young dog. The experiences your puppy has between 8 and 16 weeks shape their confidence, behaviour and emotional wellbeing for life. Intentional, positive exposure during this window helps prevent fear, anxiety and reactivity as they grow, setting them up to become calm, adaptable and well-mannered adults.
Our Brisbane puppy socialisation packages are designed to give your pup safe, structured opportunities to learn, explore and thrive during this crucial age, even when their vaccination schedule may not be completed yet.
What Your Puppy Will Experience
In these sessions, your puppy will be introduced to our two well-balanced, stable adult dogs, Oakley (our Golden Retriever girl) and Charlie (our Border Collie boy), who model appropriate canine communication and behaviour. Learning from other dogs is incredibly valuable for young pups, and these controlled interactions help them understand boundaries, play styles and social cues in a gentle and supportive way.
Every introduction is supervised and paced carefully to match your puppy’s confidence level, ensuring they feel safe while gaining real-world dog-to-dog skills. Alongside canine socialisation, your puppy will experience a wide range of environmental exposure and stimuli, including different sounds, surfaces, textures, handling exercises and short visits to safe new environments.
We maintain strict attention to your puppy’s partially completed vaccination schedule. We avoid high-risk areas and use controlled settings so your puppy can build resilience without compromising their health. Across the session packs, your pup will develop confidence, curiosity and essential life skills that will support them well into adulthood.

Michaela Mason from Charlies dog training was awesome, really felt the love for our dogs, gave us some great feedback, and easy to do training with our pups. Would defiantly suggest going with them in the future. We will definitely follow up with Charlies dog training. Her guidance with our scared and reactive dog has helped so much and we are already seeing improvements implementing what she taught us! I’m so excited to keep going with everything I’ve learnt and I wish I had reached out sooner!Posted on Anne KirbyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We have a younger dog, Murphy, coming into a household with a 14-year-old dog, Poppy. Michaela came to help as Poppy kept hiding away. She gave us so many tips on how to help rein in some of Murphy’s challenging behaviours, reassurance on the household dynamics, and a great plan to help with other behavioural challenges moving forward. Not even a week later and Poppy seems to be tolerating him more and more.Posted on Chloe HanlonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Michaela is amazing at what she does. Michaela taught my partner and myself techniques for my pug puppy Dolly on how to get her to stop biting my other older pugs face. Michaela made me feel at ease and quite frankly I wish I booked her sooner. Thank you so much for everything, you are amazing!Posted on Keira SmithTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I had an amazing experience with this dog training service! The trainer was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and thorough. Not only did they help address the specific behaviours my dog was showing, but they also took the time to explain why my dog was acting that way, which gave me a much better understanding of how to respond and support my dog moving forward. The session was informative, practical, and tailored to my dog’s needs. I left feeling confident and much more equipped to handle situations that had been stressing both me and my dog out before. You can tell the trainer truly cares and is passionate about what they do. If you're looking for professional, effective, and compassionate training — this is the place to go. I couldn’t be happier with the results so far!Posted on Jill ClarkeTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had an excellent experience with Michaela! I phoned her in a panic after fostering an 18-month old Goldie who was growling, resource guarding, & barking at our resident 4 year old Goldador, strangers, & kids. He even nipped at the vet! We were so worried we wouldn’t be able to keep him. Just one session with Michaela & we learned so much! Rex is now a different dog with just a little bit of work each day (10 minutes of basic training) using all of the hints & tips Michaela provided. He is much more relaxed, obedient, & is a loved member of the family. Highly recommend!!!Posted on MirxzTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We brought our new 9 month old rescue dog home to find out that my 3 year old staffy was not a fan at all of another dog being in his house, would be quite territorial whenever he saw the puppy We contacted Michaela to give us some insight into what was going on and how we could fix this. After Michaela came to our house, she identified the behaviour of both dogs and showed us some exercise we could do to help improve the situation. After se training thanks to Michaelas insight we can't separate the dogs now! They love each other to bits, wrestling in the yard and playing with each other, wearing themselves out. We can't thank her enough for her expertise to bring our dogs together!Posted on Sandra ShermanTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Highly recommend!! Michaela helped us immensely with our Akita boy! The changes we have seen after just one session is amazing. Michaela provided us with great support and understanding as well as information and explained things in great detail so we could understand and help our boy become happier, calmer and much less stressed. He is getting back to the brilliant, loving Akita he was when we first got him. Thank you so much for all your help and look forward to working with you more in the future.Posted on Susannah FisherTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We are so happy we found Michaela! Our beautiful 7 year old one eyed rescue staffy Tilly is reactive to other dogs which has been a constant battle for us on walks or taking her anywhere other dogs could be, it was time to change this and we found Charlie's dog training and obedience. In 1 session Michaela confirmed Tilly reactiveness is her wanting to play, yet dosen't know how to do it.. Michaela was very informative, showing us what to look for, when to act and how to handle it. Tilly responded so well and we saw a positive change in her. We still have a ways to go with constant reinforcement of what Michaela has shown us to do yet we are now confident more than ever that one day in the next few months Tilly will be at the point of entering a dog park and playing with all the other dogs 😀 Thanks Michaela, we'll definatley be recommending you to family and friends and seeing you again soon for the next step.Posted on Felicity TaylorTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Wow just wow! We love our 4 year old girl so much but her anxiety gets so bad, we can’t leave her alone.. ever.. Michaela was super knowledgeable, explained the behaviour and steps our pooch needed to go through and walked me through the process (we did it together), even some tips and tricks to help the process. There was a positive response to the training on the first visit!! I feel so confident I can run with these steps and more importantly, I have someone to call if I have questions or need more sessions!
